Merrimac Community Swimming Pool

Merrimac features a heated and life-guarded pool.

The 2010 swimming season runs from May 29th through September 6th.

Weather permitting, Pool Hours are as follows:

May 29th - August 8th

Daily from 11:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. through .

August 9th - September 6th

Monday - Friday 4:00 P.M. -9:00 P.M.

Saturday and Sunday 11:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M.

Beginning at 12:00 noon (5:00 P.M on shortened days) adult swim will be the

first 10 minutes of each hour.

In 2010, the Merrimac pool will close at 3:00 PM on a few select dates to accomodate swim meets for the Merrimac Tidal Waves Swim Team.  Those dates will be posted here and in the Merrimac Manifest when available.

Swim Lessons are available through C and N Pool Management.

Check with the lifeguards for availability.

Since 2006, the pool area has experienced a terrific number of updates including:

• All existing pool chairs and lounges were re-powder coated and re-strapped (2006).
• New coping around both the wading pool and the main pool (2007)
• New pool umbrellas were purchased for all tables (2007)
• Nearly a dozen lounges were added (2007)
• A new lifeguard chair was added (2007)
• A gas heater was installed (2007)
• Additional lounge chairs (2007)
• New filtration system (2008)
• New chemical feeder system (2009)
• New tables for the main pool (2009)
• New umbrellas at both pools (2009)
• New paint on the pool fences (2009)
