Pool

Merrimac features a heated and life-guarded pool.

The pool is open May 24th and September 1st.

Weather permitting, Pool Hours are as follows:

Daily from 11:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. (except when school is in session).

When school is in session, the pool will no open until 4:00 P.M.

Adult swim is the last 10 minutes of each hour.

In 2008, the Merrimac pool will close at 4:00 PM on the following dates to accomodate swim meets for the Merrimac Tidal Waves Swim Team:

Thursday, June 12th

Thursday, June 19th

Tuesday,  July 8th

Thursday, July 10th

Swim Lessons are available through Indianapolis Pool Management.

Check with the lifeguards for availability.

IN 2006 and 2007, the following enhancements were made at the pool:

• New coping around both the wading pool and the main pool (2007)
• New pool umbrellas were purchased for all tables (2007)
• All existing pool chairs and lounges were re-powder coated and re-strapped (2006).
• Nearly a dozen lounges were added (2007)
• A new lifeguard chair was added (2007)
• A gas heater was installed (2007)
