Mail Boxes

Originally, mail boxes in Merrimac were provided by Caporale Post in Greenwood.

Per the Covenants mailboxes must all be of a design approved by the Architectural Committee.

Unfortunately Caporale is no longer in business.

Your Association is in the process of reviewing products and pricing to come up with the best possible match at the best possible price.

An update will be posted here as soon as final selections and pricing are negotiated.

Mailbox Paint:

Rust-Oleum Professional High Performance Hunter Green (7538)

This is readily available at Lowe's.

NOTE that the other types of paint (including some Rust-Oleum paints) with the same color name do not produce the same finish, therefore it is imperative that Professional High Performance paint be selected.

Mailbox Post Paint:

Valspar American Traditions "Thorny Bush" color code: 1001-9b.

This is readily available at Lowe's Home Improvement Stores.

Maintenance Tips:  Apply an automotive wax to the box once or twice per year to protect the finish from harmful rays.
