Social Events
Q. I want to promote my business by sponsoring a social activity.
Who do I contact ?
A. Thank you for your kindness. Oh yes, please contact the Social Committee.
Q. Does the social committee need volunteers to help at the events or provide treats?
A. Yes, Yes and YES. Please contact the Social Committee to volunteer or donate.
Q. I saw on the 2008 budget that there is a line item to fund the Social Committee.
Why are my dues going towards these events?
A. A small portion (approximately $4 annually) of each Owner's dues are marked for Social Events.
Part of being a great neighborhood is having an active Association where residents get to mingle beyond the back yard barbeques.
By funding Social Events this way, events will not be cancelled when a sponsor cannot be found.
In some communities residents have to pay in the neighborhood of $10 per person to attend an event.
By funding the committee just a little bit each month nearly every event will be at NO CHARGE to members of the Merrimac HOA.
In addition, NO raise in annual assessments was necessary to fund this line item.
